Intensive Online Missions and Ministry Class This Fall!

by Paul on August 28, 2009

Replication is an important part of ministry.  You cannot catalyze movements if you do not replicate.  Disciples should replicate disciples; leaders should replicate leaders; small groups should replicate small groups; churches should replicate churches. Without replication, movements die.

That is way I want to lead a small class – 5 people max – through the lessons I’ve learned of online missions and ministry.  I want to help them take those lessons and implement them in their ministries and become crazy successful in the process.

Here are the details:

Class Size: Class size is limited to 5 people.

Dates: October 4, 2009 – November 22, 2009.  Classes will be on Sunday evenings every week.  Exact time is still to be determined.  There will be 8 classes total. Each class will be two hours long.

Location: Online (via Tokbox and Skype).

Cost: Free, with a catch.  When you are accepted into the program, you have to make a $50 deposit.  You will get your $50 deposit back at the end of the last class if you attended every class or made up any classes that you missed.  If you drop out, or if you miss a class and don’t make it up, I get to keep your $50.

Application Deadline: September 27, 2009

Application Process:

  1. Contact me, Paul Watson, to set up a Skype Video interview.  You can get in touch with me via email (onlinedisciples at gmail dot com) or through Twitter (@onlinedisciples).
  2. Submit a standard resume with detailed contact information.
  3. Provide a list of your online social media profiles.  (It doesn’t have to be long.  I just want to see what you’ve been doing online.)
  4. Provide three references.  (I will need to actually talk with all three references before you are accepted into the program.) I need one ministry reference, one family reference, and one friend reference.
  5. I will let you know if you’ve been accepted to the program via SMS (that way you have my cell number).
  6. If you are accepted into the program, you need to make your $50 deposit for the class via PayPal Transfer.  No credit cards or checks accepted.

What will we cover?

Each class will have two parts.  The first part of the class will be an inductive Bible study of passages of Scripture that relate online ministry and missions.  The second part covers the six strategic elements of starting an online ministry.

Homework: There will be at least 3 hours of homework every week.
