Friday Prayer: PostSecret

Posted on | July 18, 2008 |

Friday Prayer posts have three purposes:

  1. Expose you to online lostness.
  2. Help you understand that we are talking about real people.
  3. Lead you to pray.

Today’s we’re going to look at PostSecret.  In their own words:

PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people
mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard.

Some of these secrets are funny.  Some are offensive.  Some are rather odd.  Most are heartbreaking.

PostSecret definitely exposes you to a side of the internet that you probably haven’t experienced.

Please note:  This site posts people’s secrets in a very raw and unedited format.  I never know from day to day what will appear on the PostSecret site.  If you even think you are going to get mad at me because I directed you to this site, please don’t click on the link.

Here is the link to PostSecret.

Pray for the real people of the Online Generation.  Pray for them as they laugh, love, and cry.  Pray they will know the Savior who has been with them from the moment of their existence.  Pray they will choose to follow Him with all their heart.

If you prayed today, leave a comment or send me an email.

  • About

Who is God?' was one of the top three sentences googled in 2007, according to Google Zeitgeist. According to Alexa, the top two religious websites are Muslim, with BibleGateway coming in at a close third. The Online Generation is spiritual. They are seeking. And the church is the last place they would go to find spiritual fulfillment. This site is dedicated to those walking with The Online Generation and living lives of obedience to all the commands of Jesus Christ.
